The Game Maker Company
The mission of the Dutch Game Maker Company, run by Mark Overmars, is to enable everybody to make interesting games. Such games can be created purely for hobby but also for educational or commercial purposes. To this end a number of activities are undertaken:

Game Maker Software
Over the past seven years the Game Maker Company developed the Game Maker software. With this program everybody can create computer games, without the need to learn a programming language. Still the program is very powerful. Many thousands of games have been written with Game Maker. The program can be downloaded from the Game Maker website.

YoYo Games
YoYo Games
The Game Maker Company is a partner in YoYo Games. This company provides a web 2.0 community for amateur game developers, centered around the Game Maker software. Many thousands of games created with Game Maker are available for free here.

Game Maker Book
